Ethics and Principles

At Praajna Jyotisha Consulting, we follow certain guiding principles.

Confidentiality

The first of them is that of confidentiality in our practice being sacrosanct. We understand we are entrusted with the vulnerabilities of real people and organisations. By principle, we protect sensitive information with several guardrails. For starters, sensitive information discussed on any medium is not shared with any third party unless a client needs a recording, in which case the information is recorded in a secure cloud recording service such as Fathom/Zoom. Any other information including your name, birth details and contact information are not shared with any third parties unless demanded by a court order.

Active avoidance of marketing and promotion.

The second leading principle is that of non-promotion. If you are here, it is because you were supposed to be here. We do not try to nudge you here. You would not even find any mention of my consulting practice on the YouTube channel which is exclusively for presenting my research work on the public domain. True connection occurs under the benevolence of serendipity, especially in the case of Jyotisha. Even on the channel, ever since its founding, we have never asked viewers to subscribe to our channel/’like’ our videos. If you like them personally, we are happy, you are not requested to click the 'like' button!

Additionally, we do not nudge our clients to book follow-up appointments. Serendipity, as you will read further, is our most cherished asset. Over time, we've seen the beauty of letting things happen, letting forgetfulness and memory intertwine and voila, you reach out when it is right for you.

(Do not get me wrong, I have nothing against marketing in general, and for any other business domain, it is absolutely necessary. I would personally avoid investing in a business that does not present and distribute itself well enough and actively enough. However, for Jyotisha, a field relying on catching clues largely carried by the winds of spontaneity, the seeker must seek)

On the same note, we do not require any commitment from you - except that of staying on course with the avoidance of meat/alcohol or other intoxicants at least 7 days prior to your appointment.

Skin in the game

Third, we are incentivized by your prosperity and betterment. It is said in the scriptures that there is no truer well-wisher than a Jyotishi. We only seek spiritual merit (Punya) in your betterment as an individual and a sense of personal satisfaction in your prosperity. Hence, the consultation is solely for your benefit. We do not sell you any remedies. We simply recommend Sadhanas such as Vrata (practices of austerity), Daana (charity to causes nearby of your own choice, we do not recommend places where you can donate etc.), Japa (meditating through chanting), Dhyana (meditating upon the divine while chanting/actively listening to Vedic chants), Seva (service to sick and injured animals). No ritual can ever supersede the powers of the above practices when done sincerely.

As to consulting businesses in the long term, we firmly believe in the concept of Skin in the Game (read more about it here). The idea is that we win when you do, we lose when you do. Praajna Consulting encourages accepting equity on long-term retainers of companies we believe are capable of reaching great heights - in place of a fee in dollars.

We are in the business of picking winners and consequently try our very best to find and nurture the very best.

Authenticity of Advice

Fourth, I do not use AI to answer questions. Artificial intelligence is excellent in certain domains, like crunching data and analyzing vast combinations that are necessary for a better understanding of Jyotisha. However, intuition, serendipity and a natural thought process is largely inaccessible to AI, until it develops some sort of consciousness (read why, here). Hence, we do not use AI to generate predictions and vehemently avoid anything that tries to be something it is not i.e pretentious. All the art and text you see on this page is created and written by humans.

Refinement

Fifth, we rigorously practice and update our knowledge as time passes. Sitting on one's laurels as we understand never leads to growth, and it is growth that drives newer possibilities. The Praajna Jyotisha Institute exists to discover new methods, truths and correlations with the power of data science and machine learning, and we aim to lead frontier research in Jyotisha. It is with this spirit of refinement and obsessive research, that by the Grace of Bhagavan, we have really interesting observations and out of the blue insights dawned on us.

We are here to assist you in setting expectations and goals, identifying risks and opportunities, formulating strategies with respect to time and circumstance and most importantly being able to stay ahead of the curve. This is a great responsibility and hence, constant study is necessary. Sometimes, all we can do is predict. Other times, a forecast can accompany advice for the better, if the situation is not too fast-paced or irremediable.

Steering away from Adharma

Sixth, we do not consult businesses that go against Dharma. If you are in such a business, we can consult you on how you may come out of this, but not how you may grow within it. We request that those engaged in the trade of slaughtering animals or the sale of meat, alcohol and casino operators, those engaged in prostitution as a business may kindly avoid booking a business consultation, as there would be higher negative Karma that we will take on too, if there is any growth in the business upon our advice. If you do end up booking such a consultation, we are mandated by Dharma to predict for you, but not to advise you in view of further growth.

However, such business owners genuinely interested in a transformation may take a personal consultation. We not only steer away from Adharma ourselves, but help our clients stay away from it by offering grounded advice at the right time keeping everyone involved away from spiritual, moral and material ruin and on the path to true progress.

Additionally, for moral and legal reasons, we do not consult organizations actively involved in harming the interests of Dharma and Bharata, especially companies engaged in the manufacturing of equipment/services which most likely will be used in war against the Republic of India.

At the same time, we encourage organizations engaged in activities for the benefit of the nation, including those in the defence and manufacturing sector to pursue astrological advice. We are honoured to be key advisors to some of India's largest contributors to the defence and security sector.

Any business aligned with the Make in India initiatives is encouraged to take up long term advice hereby.

Objective Advice

We keep our advice objective and unbiased. For example, if internationalization and international partnerships are indeed beneficial for a specific scenario (and often they are) we actively encourage the same as our Dharma is tied to the growth of our clients. Anything that we find that supports growth will be advised and actively encouraged.

Support of Industrious pursuit and alignment with the greater good of our clients.

We absolutely support industrious pursuit in the right direction. Truth be told, I live vicariously through the wonderful work of our clients. There is nothing more glorious than a product of unabated effort and extraordinary talent combined with a sprinkle of luck shooting across the skies to illuminate our world.

Or, to see someone struggling with great difficulties rise above them like the phoenix brighter than ever, with tremendous willpower and Daiva-anugraha. We live to foster and witness these moments of glory.

Everyone deserves a helping hand

Some individuals, by virtue of clinical providence, at times are bereft of resources and opportunities and hence fall back. The societies we have built do not really have a fallback mechanism for such underprivileged or challenged individuals. We must try to change that to at least some extent we are capable of in view of contributing to a better society. At Praajna Jyotisha, we do our little part - free consultations are available to those truly struck by the lightning rod of fate. The free consultations have the same level of quality as any regular consultation.

Our only requirement aside from the 7 day rule, is to make a promise to try your best to get better and work on the Sadhanas as prescribed. Remember, we are counting on you to WIN!

This site will also soon be accessible in different languages, and to people with other impairments - and I can personally speak in a bit of broken Hindi or basic Kannada and Tamil to accommodate this request and soon will have other motivated volunteers on this project.
