What you tell us stays with us.

We never share information from personal conversations, and maintain complete client confidentiality. Your birth data and any other identifying information is not disclosed to a third party, and is not used for case studies, podcasts, teaching material or research.

Inside the practice, access to your full details is limited to Abhigya Anand and the coordinator who arranges the consultation. Everyone who works with the office is under a signed non-disclosure agreement.

Privacy policy

What we collect, why we hold it, who sees it, and how to have it erased.

The short version

We collect the least we need to hold an appointment and read a chart. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and no one outside the consultation sees your birth details.

What we collect

  • Contact details. Your name, email address and telephone number, so we can confirm and, if necessary, reschedule the appointment.
  • Birth details. Name, date, time and place of birth for each person to be read. This is the material of the consultation itself; without it there is nothing to read.
  • Booking metadata. Your time zone, and the country you are paying from, used to show correct times and charge the correct currency. For a booking within India, your state as well, because an Indian tax invoice has to state it.
  • Payment metadata. A payment reference and order reference returned by Razorpay, which processes every payment. We never receive your card number, CVV or bank credentials.

Why we hold it, and for how long

Contact and booking details are held to perform the consultation you paid for and to meet accounting and tax obligations, which in India require records to be retained for eight financial years. Birth details and session notes are held so that a returning client does not have to start again, and so a reading can be checked against what was said before.

You may ask us to erase your birth details and notes at any time by writing to info@abhigyaanand.com. We will do so within thirty days, keeping only the minimum transaction record the law requires us to keep.

Who else sees it

  • Abhigya Anand, who conducts the consultation.
  • The office, for scheduling and correspondence only.
  • Razorpay Software Private Limited, which processes every payment, in rupees or in dollars, and holds the card data we never see.
  • PayPal, where you choose to pay by PayPal. It is offered as one of the payment methods inside Razorpay's window, so Razorpay passes it what it needs to take the payment.
  • Resend, which delivers the emails we send you: your confirmation, reminders and any notice of a change.
  • Zoom, which hosts the consultation. A meeting is created for your appointment alone, and it carries your name and the appointment time.
  • Google, for the calendar entry, as described below.
  • Fathom, or Zoom's own cloud recording, but only where you have asked us to record your consultation.
  • Google, where you write to the office and we use its assistant to read your message and draft our reply. It is sent what you wrote, together with the date, status and reference of any booking you hold, so that the reply makes sense. It writes to nobody and sends nothing — the office reads every draft first, and presses every button. Your message is not used to train it.
  • Fly.io, which hosts this site and its database in Singapore.
  • GitHub, which holds our encrypted database backups.

Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Recordings

We do not record sessions by default. If you would like a recording, ask before the consultation begins and we will record it and send it to you afterwards. Where that happens the recording is held in a secure cloud recording service, Fathom or Zoom, and is not shared with anyone else. No written notes or summary are sent either way.

You are also welcome to record the session yourself for your own reference. We recommend keeping a notebook and pen ready before the consultation, so you can note down key points as the conversation happens.

Cookies and tracking

This booking site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. It stores your part-completed booking in your own browser so that a refresh does not lose your answers, and that store is cleared when the booking completes. Razorpay sets its own cookies when its payment window opens. Those are governed by Razorpay's privacy policy, and by PayPal's where you choose to pay by PayPal inside that window.

Where your information is held

Booking records are held in Singapore, on servers operated on our behalf by Fly.io. Payment processing takes place through Razorpay, which is registered in India, whichever currency you pay in. The calendar entry is held by Google, the consultation is hosted by Zoom, email is delivered by Resend, and the encrypted backups sit with GitHub. Each of those may involve a transfer outside your own country.

Where you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, your information is transferred to Singapore and to India, neither of which the European Commission has found to offer an equivalent level of protection. Those transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses published by the European Commission, which each of the providers named above has adopted.

Your rights

You may ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, or object to a particular use of it. Write to info@abhigyaanand.com. If you are not satisfied with the response, escalate to pranav@abhigyaanand.com.

Children

Consultations for a person under eighteen are booked and attended by a parent or guardian, who provides the birth details and consents to their use.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Payment signatures are verified on our server before any appointment is confirmed, so a payment cannot be faked from a browser. Access to booking records is limited to the people named above.
